An intimate narration by photographer Terri Weifenbach who is
otherwise known for her manipulated perspectives of our nature
surroundings; be it the bee that has all the freedom in the garden,
or a small but bright flora stretching out from the belonging
bush.
In this book she shifts her lens to a more personal space, exploring
the longing and ennui that roams around the childhood, and the
wilderness that frames them.
This is Weifenbach's 9th book, and she has published through Loosestrife
Editions, Nazraeli Press, and Onestar Press in the past.

[ 35 YEARS LATER ] / by TAKASHI HOMMA・ RYO KASE・ AYA MUTO SOLDOUT
31p, color softbound, A3 size (420x297mm)
Edition of 300, numbered and signed by authors
1973年に写真家Margaretta K MitchellとDorothea Langeの共著で出版された美しい本「To
A Cabin」と対話するべく、
その35年後に同じ場所を訪れた著者達がそれぞれ見、考え、耳をかたむけた数日間の記録。
The cabin which stood for an ultimate freedom for one generation,
set against the California coast, becomes the location to unravel
the emotion and the history the place have had and continues to
carry on.
An open conversation to a book published by Margretta Mitchell
and Dorothea Lange in 1973, 3 authors traveled to the very cabin
( which Mitchell and Lange once lived, and culled their inspiration
from) one summer and channeled the meaning of the place by observing,
reading, and listening.
Takashi Homma is a photorapher known for his internaional releases
such as First the Jay Comes (Hassla), Tokyo (Aperture), Tokyo
and My Daughter (Nieves) amongst the other classic titles Tokyo
Suburbia, Waves, to name just a few.
Ryo Kase, a prominent figure in Japanese contemporary cinema (Nobody
Knows, Antenna, Letters of Iwo Jima etc.) through his poignant
acting, has always been a devout reader and book fiend.
Aya Muto is a journalist based in Los Angeles, whom also publishes
series of photo zines under the moniker Rain or Shine Books.
